Theories and Modalities Used in Sessions: Tailored to YOU!

  • Person Centered (Carl Rogers): focuses on creating a supportive, non-judgmental environment where clients feel accepted and understood. The therapist uses empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard to help clients explore their thoughts and feelings and develop their own solutions for personal growth and well-being.The client leads the conversation and the therapist uses unconditional positive regard, empathy, and genuineness.
  • CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy): a practical, evidence-based therapy that teaches people to change unhelpful thoughts and behaviors to improve their emotional well-being. It is based on the idea that negative or distorted thinking patterns can contribute to emotional distress and unhelpful behaviors, and that changing these patterns can improve mental health. Cognitive restructuring, Behavioral activation, Exposure therapy, and Relaxation and mindfulness techniques
  • Pscyhoeducation: teaching people about mental health, emotional issues, or behavioral conditions. It helps them understand what’s happening, why it happens, and what can help."
  • Jungian (Carl Jung): suggests that human behavior is influenced by a shared collective unconscious filled with archetypes, and psychological health comes from integrating unconscious parts of the self through individuation. Therapists help clients explore unconscious patterns and integrate different parts of the psyche. The goal is the process that Carl Jung called individuation—becoming a more integrated and whole self. We explore dreams, analyze symbols and archetypes, shadow work, uses active imagination through guided techniques to interact with unconscious images, explore personal history and patterns, use creative methods like using symbols, pictures, journaling, etc.
  • Existential (May, Frankyl, Yalom): Explore life meaning, accept personal responsibility, confront fear of death and uncertainty, Live more authentically, Instead of focusing only on symptoms, the therapy focuses on how a person relates to life itself.
  • Parapsychology: studies unusual mental abilities or experiences that some people believe are real but are not fully proven or understood by mainstream science, uses art-based imagery as a tool.
  • Humanistic (Maslow, Rogers): focuses on the Whole Person. It considers emotions, thoughts, creativity, and personal experiences, people have the ability to make their own choices and control their lives (free will), central idea is self-actualization (meaning reaching your full potential and becoming who you are capable of being), human beings naturally want to grow, improve, and find meaning in life, and works with a subjective experience: how people experience the world matters. Each person's perception is unique.
  • Transpersonal: integrates spiritual, transcendent, and holistic aspects of human experience with traditional psychological theories. When applied in practice, it goes beyond treating symptoms to exploring deeper dimensions of consciousness, personal growth, and self-realization. Methods & Techniques use a combination of traditional psychological methods and spiritual or consciousness-expanding techniques: Mindfulness & Meditation – Techniques to increase self-awareness and presence. Guided Imagery & Visualization, Breathwork, Transpersonal Dialogue – Deep conversations exploring meaning, values, and existential questions. Journaling & Reflective Practices – Integrating spiritual experiences into personal growth.
